Smith Stearns “Future Stars Academy”

The Smith Stearns Future Stars Academy was developed to offer the same quality of instruction to younger players who would like to join the academy. Our goal is to give our “future stars” the opportunity to be trained by the Smith Stearns approach from an early age. The program is for ages 4-10 and will teach kids the basic fundamentals of tennis focusing on stroke production, proper technique, grips, ball placement, strategy, patterns of play and point play, while making the game fun at the same time! Once the student becomes the right age or a coach believes they are prepared to move up, they can have a successful transition into our junior academy.

The program will follow the guidelines of the USTA initiative, 10 and Under Tennis and the ITF’s Tennis10s,  which promote a stronger development for younger athletes by using smaller sized courts and balls. We strongly believe this will enhance a students development by giving them a game that they can have fun with and be successful at, while better preparing them to be an all court player in the future.
