Two Smith Stearns students Jeri Reichel and Jack O'Koniewski receive prestigious sportsmanship awards at the Wachovia Palmetto Championships in Belton, South Carolina.

July 16, 2008 -- Not only do Smith Stearns students have successful results on the court but they also are awarded for their attitude and honorable character that they portray while competing.

Jack O'Koniewski won the Matthew Strange Memorial Sportsmanship Award in the boys 12 and under division at the Wachovia Palmetto Championships.

Long time Smith Stearns student Jeri Reichel followed that up by being awarded the Malloy Evans Memorial Sportsmanship Award, which is the tournament's overall sportsmanship award.

We are very proud to have Jeri and Jack represent Smith Stearns!
