Sweet 16 for O'Koniewski

Molly O’Koniewski caps off a stellar summer by reaching the round of 16 at both the USTA National Clay Court and Hard Court Championships.

Click to View August 13, 2008 -- Molly O’Koniewski is formerly from Needham, Massachusetts but moved to the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy with her family in May of 2007. She is one of the hardest working players at the academy and is a 1st class competitor. Molly also has a brother, Jack, who is a member of the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy.

Molly has been consistently posting excellent results since she has started at the academy. In the fall, she was the singles champion at the Southern Fall Closed in the 16 and under division. She also won the Southern Spring Closed in April.

This summer, at only 14 years old, she reached the round of 16 at both the USTA National Clay Court and Hard Court Championships in the 16 and under division. Molly has an even brighter future ahead of her.
